Little Sprout Daycare Curriculum

At Little Sprout Daycare, our curriculum is designed to foster a love for learning and nurture each child's individual growth. Each month, we immerse our little ones in engaging themes that form the basis for hands-on crafts, scientific experiments, and lessons that make learning fun and meaningful.

  • Rotating Monthly Themes

Every month, we explore a new theme that drives our activities and learning experiences. These themes range from animals to space, seasons to feelings, offering children a broad understanding of the world around them. Children engage in craft projects and science experiments linked to the theme, fueling their creativity and critical thinking skills.

  • Social-Emotional Learning

At Little Sprout, we believe in cultivating a child's emotional intelligence alongside academic knowledge. We help our children recognize and express their emotions, promoting empathy, resilience, and strong social skills. Through age-appropriate discussions and activities, children learn to navigate their feelings and understand those of others.

  • Weather, Calendar & Seasons

Our curriculum integrates practical everyday concepts such as the weather, calendar, and seasons. Children learn to observe the weather, understand the calendar, and appreciate the changes that each season brings. This ongoing exploration helps to build a child's understanding of time and nature.

  • Counting and Number Sense

Through fun activities and games, we introduce and reinforce counting and number recognition. Children practice counting objects, reciting numbers, and understanding basic mathematical concepts, laying a strong foundation for future numeracy skills.

Fine Motor Skills & Phonics

Our curriculum incorporates worksheets designed to improve fine motor skills, crucial for writing, buttoning clothes, and other daily activities. We also focus on phonics, using worksheets to help children connect sounds with letters—an essential skill for reading.
